News letter| CELEBLAWS Joined Guangdong E-commerce Association and Attended Awarding Ceremony

On March 24, 2023，as a member of Guangdong E-commerce Association, the Guangzhou Representative Office of CELEBLAWS was invited by the Association to participate in the event Walk into the Benchmark Enterprises and 2023 First Quarter Member Awarding Ceremony. The benchmark enterprise for this event is Liby Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd.

All the participants visited the three major exhibition halls of Liby, Liby Party Building Exhibition Hall, Liby Enterprise Exhibition Hall, and Product Exhibition Hall, allowing us to see the transformation of Liby from a traditional manufacturing enterprise to a digital modern enterprise, and Liby’s strategy and planning in the field of intellectual property layout and protection such as corporate brand and corporate patent.

Subsequently, LIU, Feina, Executive President and Secretary-General of Guangdong E-commerce Association, brought us the valuable information just obtained from the inspection in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and introduced to us the general environment of cross-border e-commerce in Malaysia, local cross-border e-commerce enterprises in Malaysia, and the situation of Chinese e-commerce platforms and enterprises in Malaysia. Chairman Liu encourages Chinese cross-border e-commerce companies to establish a platform in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and use it as a base for expanding the entire Southeast Asian market and the Middle East market.

ZHANG, Wei, General Manager of the 2C Private Domain Platform Business Department of Liby, introduced the example of Liby’s digital transformation to the participants. In 2015, Liby was still a traditional manufacturing enterprise; in 2023, all work was completed outside the system, realizing the transformation of dealer platform, B2B, and B2C full-chain online processing. This shows the decisiveness and determination of a large factory in digital transformation.

Finally, Guangdong E-commerce Association held an awarding ceremony for some of the members who joined the Association in the first quarter of 2023. The Guangzhou Representative Office of CELEBLAWS participated in this ceremony as a member. The event concluded successfully.

Guangdong E-commerce Association

Founded in 2011, Guangdong E-commerce Association adheres to the concept of joint efforts, integrity and win-win, aiming to become the driving force behind the e-commerce of traditional enterprises. As of the beginning of 2016, there are more than 1,800 members, covering all aspects of the e-commerce ecological chain, including domestic and foreign e-commerce platforms, shopping malls, service providers, etc., and is an Internet + business ecological organization with global influence.

In September 2011, the association was entrusted by the Marketing Department of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce to conduct a special study on "The Status and Role of Industry Associations in the Construction of Online Shopping Integrity System", and to carry out the construction of the "Integrity Online Shopping" platform.

On March 11, 2012, in response to the needs of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce issued the "Opinions on Supporting Guangdong to Accelerate Transformation and Upgrading to Build a Happy Guangdong" with 32 articles in five parts. The "Opinions" endowed Guangdong with many breakthroughs and relatively large pilot policies, and clearly stated in Article 31: "Increase business guidance and policy support for the Guangdong E-commerce Association ".

On September 18, 2012, the Counselor's Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province wrote "Using the Role of Industry Associations to Promote the Development of E-Commerce--Investigation Report on the Activities of Guangdong E-commerce Association", and the leaders of the provincial government commented that "this report summarizes many good things about the Guangdong E-commerce Association’s practice, and summed up very good enlightenment and experience, please study carefully and summarize and promote it.

In June 2013, the Civil Affairs Department of Guangdong Province identified a total of 60 demonstration units for the self-discipline and credit system construction of social organizations in Guangdong Province, and the Guangdong E-commerce Association was among them.

In 2013, the Civil Affairs Department of Guangdong Province issued the "Catalogue of Provincial Social Organizations in Guangdong Province Qualified to Undertake the Transfer of Government Functions and Purchase Services" (the third batch) as an important basis for choosing to undertake the transfer of government functions and purchase services of social organizations. The Guangdong E-commerce Association is listed among them and has the qualifications to undertake the transfer of government functions and purchase services.

From 2012 to 2015, it has been the co-organizer of the Guangdong Provincial Government's online activities for four consecutive years.

In January 2016, the association participated in the province's first joint social organization rating and was approved by the Provincial Social Organization Evaluation Committee to become a "3A level joint social organization in Guangdong Province".
